Individual and Couples Therapy

Your story matters — every part of it.

Your history, relationships, struggles, and hopes have shaped who you are today.

Over time, we all develop strategies to help us survive in a world that can sometimes feel unpredictable or unsafe.

Maybe you learned to stay quiet so you wouldn’t be criticized.

Maybe you become the responsible one, carrying more than your share.

Maybe you learned to numb or disconnect when things felt overwhelming.

These strategies worked.

They kept you safe, helped you manage pain, and got you through difficult seasons.

But over time, the very patterns that once protected you can begin to get in the way. They can leave you feeling anxious, depressed, or disconnected.

And in relationships, they often show up as misunderstandings, defensiveness, or the sense that no matter how hard you try, you and your partner just can’t find each other.

The truth is, beneath those protective layers, your truest self – your essence – is still there. It hasn’t been lost.

Therapy offers a compassionate space to uncover the roadblocks that have shaped your journey and to gently peel back the layers that hide your deepest, most authentic self.

For individuals, this work means learning to understand the protective patterns you’ve carried – the ways you’ve coped, survived, and adapted. Together, we’ll explore how those strategies once kept you safe but may now be holding you back. As you begin to meet these parts of yourself with compassion, space opens for healing, clarity, and a renewed connection to your truest self.

For couples, this work means not only understanding your own patterns, but also learning how your partner’s story has shaped theirs. Together we explore how these survival strategies may be colliding – and how you can begin to build a new pattern of safety, openness, and connection.

Whether you come to therapy alone or with your partner, the work is about rediscovering what’s most authentic in you, loosening the grip of old defenses, and creating space for deeper love, peace, and wholeness in your life.

How I Can Help:

At the heart of my work is creating a safe and supportive space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to feel more like yourself. So often, life pushes us into survival mode. Our nervous system stays on edge, and we find ourselves anxious, shut down, or reacting in ways we don’t fully understand. I help people learn how to calm their bodies, find steadiness, and reconnect with a sense of balance – because real healing starts when your nervous system feels safe.

Together, we’ll also look at the patterns that show up in your relationships and day-to-day life. Maybe you find yourself pulling away when things get hard, or maybe you’re quick to defend yourself and end up feeling misunderstood. These patterns often come from old wounds or ways we learned to protect ourselves. By slowing them down and getting curious about them, you can begin to notice what’s happening and choose a new way of responding – one that brings more connection and less conflict and turmoil within yourself and with others.

I draw on approaches that focus on both healing the inner world and making meaningful, practical shifts in your day-to-day life. Whether you’re working through past trauma, navigating a difficult season in your relationship, or simply longing to feel more grounded and whole, therapy gives you the chance to understand your story, make sense of what’s been holding you back, and open the door to new ways of living and loving.
